noia
Noia is a Galician seaside town approximately 15-minute drive from GoGalicia’s Villas it is situated on the coast between two rivers with a beautiful mountainous backdrop. The old town of Noia boasts a thriving atmosphere with a combination of rich historic ancestry, friendly locals, and charming beaches such as La Playa de Testal within a 5-minute drive.
Nearby you’ll find the lively indoor fish market full with Galician residents buying their fresh fish and seafood. The market is surrounded by plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Noia comes alive every Thursday with their outdoor market throughout the streets and down by the river, boasting with some of the best fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, clothing, accessories, and authentic Spanish Churros!
muros
The town of Muros is an old harbour town which is still a working fishing port. When approaching Muros you’ll see plenty of Bateas which are Galician mussel farms, these are rafts arranged out at sea to catch fresh mussels. Muros’ traditional economy is based on fishing. Throughout Galicia you’ll find there are no end of great opportunities for eating seafood; that’s the Galician way!
Muros boasts 25km of coastline and beaches including some of our favourites Praia do Castelo and Praia de San Francisco. The harbour Porto de Muros is surrounded by a charming promenade filled with quaint local boutiques and restaurants. There is plenty of free parking across the promenade and a large car park west of the end of the town.
